Create beautiful, personalized greeting cards using rubber stamps and simple crafting techniques. Clear a clean, flat workspace and gather all your cardstock, stamps, ink pads, and embellishments. Lay everything out so it's easy to access while you work.
Using your ruler and pencil, measure and mark rectangles on your cardstock (8.5 x 5.5 inches works well for standard cards). Cut them out with scissors or a paper trimmer, then fold each piece in half to create a card with a 4.25 x 5.5 inch front.
Use a bone folder to press firmly along each folded edge. This creates a crisp, professional-looking crease. Run the bone folder back and forth 2-3 times for the best result.
Before inking, practice arranging your stamps on scrap paper to decide on layouts. Try different combinations and positions. Sketch quick notes if helpful to remember which design goes on which card.

Between colors or designs, clean your stamps with a damp paper towel or stamp cleaner. Pat dry with a clean towel. This prevents color mixing and keeps impressions crisp.
Continue stamping each card base using your planned designs. Work on one card at a time, allowing each to dry before moving to the next. This prevents accidental smudging.
Once all stamping is completely dry, use colored pencils or markers to add shading, color fills, or small decorative details to your stamped images. This adds dimension and personality.
Use adhesive dots or glue to attach ribbons, sequins, or stickers as desired. Add dimensional foam dots under some elements to create raised effects. Don't overcrowd—less is often more.
Open each card and write your greeting inside, or use alphabet stamps to create a printed message. Keep messages centered and leave adequate margins.
Review each card for smudges, uneven elements, or areas needing adjustment. Use an eraser to remove any visible pencil marks. Make any final tweaks to embellishments.
Lay all finished cards flat and allow them to dry completely for at least 30 minutes. This ensures ink and adhesive are fully set before handling or inserting into envelopes.
Once dry, insert each card into an appropriately sized envelope. Store finished cards flat in a protective box or folder until you're ready to give them.
