You need 100% cotton fabric (pre-washed), beeswax pellets, pine resin, jojoba oil, an old paintbrush or foam brush, parchment paper, and a baking tray. Use an old oven brush you do not mind dedicating to this.
Melt beeswax pellets, pine resin, and jojoba oil together in a double boiler, stirring until fully combined. This ratio makes wraps that cling well and are antimicrobial.
Lay fabric on a parchment-lined baking tray. Spoon a small amount of wax mixture onto the fabric and spread with a brush. Place in a 100°C oven for 2–3 minutes until the wax melts completely and saturates the fabric evenly.
Remove from oven. Quickly use the brush to spread any pooled wax evenly across the entire fabric surface. Immediately lift the warm wrap from the tray and wave in the air for 30 seconds until set.
Store flat or rolled. Use the warmth of your hands to mould the wrap over bowls and food. Wash in cold water only with mild soap — hot water melts the wax. Replace after about 1 year.
